About Leerpeer
Tutoring is the way to quickly brush up on a subject if you are behind. As soon as you have caught up you can stop the tutoring and continue. If you don't get any tutoring you will continue to fall behind and miss the connection. Sometimes you can get tutoring cheaply from your school. Or your own parents may tutor you. Often, however, students have to rely on expensive commercial agencies. This creates a dichotomy in education. Parents who can pay for tutoring and those who cannot.
Vision
In education, the student with his individual interest and motivation will become more central. The learning material will become more diverse and easier to go through individually. Classroom explanations will become less but the teacher will become more important for personal explanations and as a coach and motivator.
Mission
The mission of Leerpeer is to enable more knowledge transfer at all levels. This knowledge should be available at a low price so that everyone can benefit. There are so many skilled and knowledgeable people that we need to better appreciate and use.
Leerpeer
Leerpeer started in 2021. The inequality in education in the Netherlands is steadily growing due to the increasing role that tutoring plays. This is because not every parent is able to pay for this tutoring. With tutoring for and by students, tutoring becomes more affordable and you can also earn your own tutoring money. Learnpeer is a new start-up. We are going to see how we can leverage this solution and make it big.
